The following is a list of major projects and an outline of our capabilities in the sphere of 3d computer modelling, rendering, photomontages and the production of marketing video documentaries, prints and slides.
Much of the technical information needed for broad-hectare project sites can be stored and processed within computer data bases. This information may include cadastral, topographic and hydrographic survey, plus geotechnical information describing the characteristics of various layers of material underlying the site.
Over a period of some years, we have developed a specialised 3-dimensional computer facility whose unique features are the integration of planning and engineering design capabilities for application to broad-hectare projects and its ability to deal with the massive amounts of information required to build a highly detailed 3 dimensional computer model of a large site, complete with roads, street furniture, landscape vegetation, buildings, cars, and people. The 3 dimensional project model is a living, growing entity which can be constantly modified and refined in parallel with progressive engineering, landscape and building architecture planning and design. At various stages of project planning and design, three dimensional computer imagery in the form of animated photo-realistic fly-over, pan-over or drive-through sequences plus still shots from various vantage points, can be downloaded for editing in commercial studios under the direction of a professional corporate communications consultant who will work closely with the client in scripting and producing a video tailored to the client's particular needs at the time (eg. authority approvals, project funding, equity investment, end-buyer marketing etc.). In association with Newtons Corporate Communicators, we have produced numerous project video documentaries tailored to the particular requirements of clients, particularly in south east Asia. |

Burchill VDM have developed
state-of-the-art 3 dimensional computer graphic technology that
facilitates photo realistic visualisation of development concepts. This
medium offers clients exciting opportunities for enhanced communication
with public authorities, for public participation in the planning process
and for project marketing to potential investors and end-users.
From this information we can produce surface, and if appropriate,
sub-surface terrain models. Analyses of slope and view aspects can be
produced from the surface terrain model. These models are also the
foundation upon which a broad-hectare build out development can be totally
planned, subjected to scrutiny by statutory authorities and the public,
designed, and marketed with the aid of computer graphic imagery.
Once
the 3-dimensional model has been created, views from any vantage
point or animation along any travel path can be automatically produced. It
is possible, for instance, to illustrate the view that will be obtained
from any allotment, building apartment or hotel room within the project.
